Complete the Upcoming Cybersecurity Training Now!

As we approach the close of the fiscal year, this is a reminder to complete your mandatory Quarter 4 Cybersecurity Awareness Training by June 30. 

This quarter's training module, Security Snippets - Spotting Dangerous Attachments, provides practical guidance on identifying and avoiding malicious email attachments, one of the most common methods cybercriminals use to gain access to sensitive information, compromise accounts, and disrupt organizational operations. 

To complete the training, please log in to the KnowBe4 training portal using your Howard University credentials and access the module from your dashboard.

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and every member of the Howard community plays a critical role in protecting our students, faculty, staff, research, and institutional data. As cyber threats continue to evolve, maintaining awareness and practicing good cyber hygiene are among the most effective ways to reduce risk and strengthen our collective security posture. Here are a few simple ways you can protect Howard University data: 

• Be cautious of unexpected emails, links, and attachments. 
• Report suspicious emails using the phishing reporting tools available to you. 
• Use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication where available. 
• Keep university-issued devices secure and promptly install required updates. 

Your participation in this training strengthens our defenses against phishing, ransomware, credential theft, and other cyber threats that target higher education institutions.
