Cybersecurity Awareness Training Update

Dear Howard University Community,

We would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to all new and current University employees to the start of the academic year and the start of Howard's new Cybersecurity Awareness Training cycle. We are pleased to write to you with details on our continuing efforts to protect the institution's network and the personal data of all users by way of this new training schedule.

Beginning Monday, August 7 you will receive an email coming from "Mandatory Howard Cybersecurity Training," with the subject of "Welcome to Cybersecurity Awareness Training – Q1."

Please note that this email IS NOT SPAM and is coming directly from the training platform KnowBe4.

The email is addressed to you and will contain the training links and the required completion date.

For those who prefer using a mobile app, the KnowBe4 application is available in your mobile device store (i.e., Apple App Store or Google Play Store) for download. Search for the KnowBe4 Learner App and follow the instructions located here to access your training.

All employees are required to participate in these quarterly modules, and each module is designed to elevate your cybersecurity awareness in 20 minutes or less.  More information on the University's cybersecurity policy is available for reference on the Enterprise Technology Services site.
