iLab and ETS Are Moving to New Locations

We’re pleased to announce two exciting updates to our technology services, each aimed at improving your campus experience. Collaboration between technology and the University libraries offers an integrated space that combines academic resources, digital tools, and collaborative environments to better support student learning, research, and innovation. iLab Technology Center Moving to the Louis Stokes Library
The iLab Technology Center, Howard’s dedicated student workspace, is relocating from Wonder Plaza to the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library. The iLab will continue to provide students with a dedicated space to study, conduct research, and collaborate, while also delivering a key service that supports academic success and innovation.
What You Can Expect in the New iLab Space
- Access to high-performance computers
- Premium academic software (e.g., Mathematica, SaaS, SPSS)
- Printing services
- Strong internet connectivity
- Collaborative meeting areas
The iLab remains a vital resource that ensures equitable access to technology for students, faculty, and staff. Whether you're completing assignments, conducting research, or working on group projects, the new iLab space is designed to better support your success.
ETS Walk-Up Support Relocating to the Undergraduate Library
Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Walk-Up Support is also on the move! Beginning in August, you’ll find us at our new, centrally located home inside the Wayne A. I. Frederick Undergraduate Library.
What’s New? The Walk-Up Experience
This move comes with exciting upgrades to improve how you access IT support:
- A modern queue system to reduce wait times
- Real-time updates on your place in line
- A more visible, student-centered service environment
- Personalized, streamlined tech support
What You Can Expect at the New Location
- In-person support, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Troubleshooting for connectivity, accounts, and more
- A welcoming, inclusive space with tech-forward design
