The ETS Walk-up provides immediate, in-person technical support for students, faculty, and staff, while the iLab offers a collaborative environment for innovation, experimentation, and digital experience development. Hours of Operations

Monday – Friday 9AM-5PM.  
Closed Weekends and University Holidays, following Howard University Library schedule

  • Account Access: Password resets, MFA setup, SSO issues
  • Howard Device Support: Troubleshooting
  • Software Installation: Installation of HU approved software
  • How-to/General Help
  • Escalations
ETS Walk-up Operating Rules:
  1. Follow Howard University Library Rules.
  2. No eating or drinking at the desk.
  3. No use of personal cellphones at the Walk-up Desk.
  4. At least one Service Delivery Technician should always be present at the desk during operating hours.
  5. Monthly check-ins with Library Staff to ensure adherence to agreed upon protocols. 

iLab Operation Information

Hours of Operations

Regular Hours:
Sunday 1:30PM-10PM
Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-10PM
Friday 8:30AM-5PM
Saturday 9AM-6PM

Summer Hours:
Monday – Friday 9AM-5PM

Student Printing Allotment

For 2024-25 Academic Year: $75/semester is allotted to each student.  

Black & White: $.17 Single-Sided, $.10 Double-Sided

Color: $.38 Single-Sided, $.30 Double-Sided 

Tools and Technology

PC’s, Mac’s, Printers, PaperCut, and ServiceNow

iLab Operating Rules
  • Follow Howard University Library Rules.
  • No eating or drinking at iLab.  
  • Ensure iLab volume is kept to a minimum level.  
  • No excessive usage of personal cellphone.  
  • At least one Service Delivery Technician should always be present at designated iLab post.
  • Monthly check-ins with Library Staff to ensure adherence to agreed upon protocols.
