Your Summer 2026 IT Readiness

As you prepare to enjoy a beautiful summer, we want to ensure you don’t forget about us while enjoying time in the sun. We have prepared a 2026 Summer Readiness Campaign for you to have all the necessary information to stay on track during the next few months. 

Summer Hours 
Our team will continue providing support throughout the summer months, including our in-person service desk. Our hours remain the same – 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Submit Your Requests Early 
If you have IT-related requests and/or incidents, do not wait to put in a ticket. The beginning of the fall semester is our busiest time, as all students are returning to campus. Remember, for the quickest service, visit our Enterprise Service Center for assistance.

Regularly Monitor Emails
Important university announcements continue throughout the summer, including: 

  • Technology updates.  
  • Security notifications.  
  • Emergency communications.  
  • Academic and administrative announcements.  

Please continue regularly monitoring your Howard University email. Any inbox that remains inactive for four months may be subject to account lockout. 

MFA and Password Reset 
If you purchase a new mobile device over the summer and need to reconfigure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), instructions are available to help you. Additionally, reset your password if needed.

Cisco AnyConnect is going away
Lastly, do not forget that Cisco AnyConnect will be going away on May 31, 2026. If you utilize this VPN and would like to maintain secure access to certain applications, you are able to request secure access through the following ServiceNow intake form. Once you submit, a member of the ETS team will provide you with further directions.
