2026 Operational Goals

ETS Operational Goals

Goal #1: Organizational structure and Leadership

  • Increase technology growth by introducing  cutting edge tech for classrooms, grants, research, and marketing.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.  ETS Monthly Newsletters
  • Enhance infrastructure to reduce downtime by including redundancy into our core network backbone.

Goal #2: Financial Sustainability

  • Automate the IT Governance Council workflow to enhance fiscal responsibility and generate cost savings for the university.
  • Transition away from redundant technology to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency across the organization. 

Goal #3: Exceptional Educational Experience

  • Classroom refresh of 75 smart projectors.
  • Advocate/champion SSO for all academic applications
  • Launch an AV support model for the new fiscal year.
  • Investigate mixed reality in the academic space
  • Complete the Campus Network Modernization refresh and the phase II optimization plan to:  Enhance the learning environment, increase research capabilities, and improve operational efficiency by reducing technical issues. 

Goal #4: Organizational Policies and Procedures

  • Establish new faculty office hours throughout the semester.
  • Develop new and returning faculty orientation 
  • Develop IT Orientation videos – How to’s
  • Build orientation videos for graduates & professional students
  • Launch ServiceNow 2.0 to include:
    • buildout of a service catalog and a CMDB 
    • centralize and automate IT workflows
    • improve insights into service performance
    • AI capabilities
    • self-service
    • robust analytics which will support data-driven decision making.
  • Implement a continuous improvement process for administrative procedures to increase efficiencies.

Goal #5: Campus Master Plan

  • Support the implementation of initiatives that align with the university’s academic and research strategy. 
  • Socialize ETS Goals and initiatives by conducting bi-annual road shows to the university community and continuing to build on the Tech Tuesday platform.
