Quarantine Email Release

We would like to inform you that ETS will activate the self-release feature of quarantined messages in Outlook. Essentially, you will be able to release safe, expected messages that may have been quarantined. What is quarantine, and why is it important? As part of our efforts to continuously protect the Howard community from digital harm, incoming emails are quarantined if Office 365 is unsure if the message is safe. This feature is an automated security measure designed to shield Howard University from suspicious emails that may be a potential security risk.

Automated Inactive Account Management

We want to inform you about an important security enhancement in our authentication process. As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding your accounts and ensuring the security of our digital environment, we are implementing an automatic process to deactivate inactive user accounts that have not been accessed for more than 120 days. Dear Howard University Community, As part of our effort to continually improve the user experience of our campus stakeholders, Howard University will transition from Google G-Suite to Microsoft Office 365 during Summer 2024.
